Letter to the editor
THE BURNING ISSUE OF THE FREE WORLD
The reason we fight is for our rights and freedom.
Terrorists use our rights and freedom against us - to kill us.
The governments’ take away our rights and freedom to fight the
terrorists.
We then have no reason to fight - except our life.
And life isn’t worth living without rights and freedom.
The terrorists win.
Can anyone tell me what is going wrong here and how it can be
corrected?
Why can’t our rights and freedom stand on its own merits any
longer?
My opinion:
We have abused, stretched, inflated, and disguised our rights
and freedom without proper spiritual guidance to a point where
we include all manner of evil as a right/freedom. We can now
commit evil daily with impunity. We lead lives that abhor even
the so called “godless” nations and nations founded on
fundamentalism. “In God We Trust” no longer has any meaning
to us. That is why our rights and freedom can no longer stand
on its own merits and be a beacon to the world as it once was.
